I made an appointment to speak to someone about the Polo and VW in general. I then received a call asking for feedback. I explained that I hadn't yet seen anyone! I was then rung again after the appointment to give feedback. When I got to the showroom, the lady on reception was lovely and checked at one time to see if I was being looked after. The sales person was pleasant enough and answered my questions well, but even though I specifically said I didn't want a new car, the idea of purchasing one was being suggested. When I mentioned the value depreciating as soon as it leaves the forecourt, she had to agree. What I really didn't like though, was sitting in the waiting area, going through paperwork and my financial options in front of other customers who were sitting and waiting for their service to be done. I did say I thought we'd be sitting at a desk but she said she thought it was warmer where we were. It would have been nice to have been offered a desk to sit at, where financial matters can be discussed in private. Even her manager came to speak to me in the waiting area to discuss something confidental! Bizarre! Not being particularly impressed with the Polo, I had asked about the Eos but didn't really get much response other than they may have one. I said I'd like to try one but didn't hear anything more about it so took my business elsewhere. I then received several emails, asking for feedback and explained that I had already given it! Unfortunately, there was nothing exceptional for me and admin definitely need to work on communication!
The various teams of people who work here need to be better connected, they tried but failed to deliver some great customer service...Car in for service and MOT, before it was MOTd they told me they had inspected it and would change the wipers pre-MOT as they werent great. I thought that was very helpful and agreed to that, then someone else there clearly MOTd it before they were changed, and failed it due to the wipers! They were then replaced and it passed MOT. Car now has an MOT fail on its record tho...Then, I was called and told it was ready to collect, so I walked up to get it a few hours later, paid at the desk and was told theyd bring it round. Then they realised they hadnt yet washed it so I had to wait around while that was done. In both cases they were trying to deliver great customer service, but didnt manage it!
Avoid putting your car in here for a service. I was using this dealer as i had a free service to 'restore' my confindence in them after a bad experience the previous year. I asked on the phone when booking for my car NOT to be cleaned as i get it detailed professionally elsewhere and i also told them this when i dropped by car off in the morning. When collecting my car it WAS REVERSED INTO THE FENCE by a member of the service team. Also, the car had been washed which i specifically asked them not to do. The car actually came out dirtier than it went in due to the poor cleaning effort. AVOID THIS DEALER

Have purchased new cars from this company for years, always had my cars serviced with them and have always had excellent service with them. Pleasant and helpful staff. My car has just had its yearly service and once again excellent service and very helpful staff.
