Very helpful.
TL; DR went to get my car serviced charged for work not done and an attempt to defraud me of a further 160 I took my Fiat Punto for a service, first time using this garage. The car needed a service, MOT and a few issues fixed. The service and MOT went fine but the issue with the left hand rear signal light still persisted. I had to arrange for a second visit, on the second visit I was told the light was worn out and need to be completely replaced for 160. When I ask for the specific reason it was not working I was told the earth was corroded. I went and inspected the light myself, the bolts where seized with rust, the light housing had leaves and maple tree seeds inside, furthermore no corrosion existed around the earth. They had not opened or inspected the light at all but billed me for it. At best this was laziness and at worst an attempt to defraud me of 160 plus the previous work. I had been charged for a new light bulb and labour on my first visit to try and fix the light. When confronted with the information the service desk said no the information I was given was wrong it was the bulb holder the was corroded, so I inspected the bulb holder and there was no corrosion. I asked for a refund of the bulb and labour and have yet to receive a refund. My last conversation I was told another story that the light needed replaced because it was intermittently working. 3 Stories none of which are true.
Battery problems with my Fiat 500 for the last 6 months. Brought it here because the reviews of Fiat Guildford were so bad. The car is not recharging the battery and keeps going dead causing me to have to jump start it ( car is 18 months old with 13000 miles). So the first visit they fob me off saying Id left the boot open to cause a flat battery. I explained there is a warning light when leaving the boot open and that was not the problem and I was sure Id be back. Low and behold the problem had not gone away. The car was unusable as it was holding no charge from driving ( only charge from the mains). So I booked it back in, once again they simply charged the battery from the mains and said no fault with it. Then they start saying Im causing problems as they need the courtesy car back. I say I want them to fix the problem not charge the battery- which I can do at home. They tell me theres no fault. I brought it to them after a 30 minute drive and the battery was too flat for them to start it- yet theres no problem?? To then try and make me feel guilty for their lack of courtesy cars after trying to return my car to me still faulty. Been an absolute shambles so far.
Delighted with the choice I made for my car. Syed helped out massively. Brilliant service overall. Looking forward go getting my new car.
Syed and Pedro both offered fantastic service, going over and above to make sure my car was perfect. Would highly recommend.
