Basic,clean family room. Noisey in the evening, staff very pleasant. Great price.
Not the best. Was cold, and could do with a refit. Had to pay for parking. Bed and shower were fine.
I was in town working on an International film...we were shooting on location nearby. Speaking of location, that is about all this hotel has going for it. It is right across the street from the main train line. Basic rooms, no provided toiletries (not even a box of tissues). Hair dryers are not part of the offering either. Rooms get musty and moist as soon as you use the shower. A ventilation fan in the bathroom would work wonders and eliminate odors. The wifi was also awful...you had to mosey around the room to try and get a brief signal. The breakfast boxes are also not worth it...a cup of cereal, a preservative-ridden orange/cranberry muffin, and an orange juice (from concentrate). Save yourself the 5 GBP and go elsewhere for a real breakfast.On the plus side, the Ashley Road Pub adjoins the hotel, not a bad place for a cocktail and a smoke. The reception staff at the Travelodge is also very good. Nice Indian gal in the evening and then another Indian fella there in the morning. They were both cordial and helpful. The cleaning staff were also on site vacuuming the halls and keeping the place looking presentable each day. Anywho, in summary expect 'bare bones' accommodations, reminiscent of a university dorm room. As the Brit's say, Cheers!
Well. What a little gem.. Tucked away down a leafy lane two minutes from the railway station at Walton on Thames. The staff are lovely and lots of parking... Will definitely be staying agin...
Very good service from the reception desk. Check-in was speedy and the room was well presented. Fortunately the newly installed parking meters were not working so we parked for nothing. The pub next door was quite busy so we went to the tapas restaurant on Halfway.
